A little bit confused about my virtual hosts

    I have two IPs and a number of domains set up in my httpd.conf file as follows:

    NameVirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx:80
    <VirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx>
    ServerName cpanel.zipsupport.com
    DocumentRoot /usr/local/apache/htdocs
    ServerAdmin
    </VirtualHost>

    NameVirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx:80
    <VirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx:80>
    ServerName aaa.com
    ...

    NameVirtualHost 74.86.xxx.xxx:80
    <VirtualHost 74.86.xxxxxx:80>
    ServerName abc.com
    ...

    etc. etc.

    When I restart my server I get the following warning:

    [Sat Nov 08 09:04:03 2008] [warn] NameVirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx:80 has no VirtualHosts
    [Sat Nov 08 09:04:03 2008] [warn] NameVirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx:80 has no VirtualHosts
    [Sat Nov 08 09:04:03 2008] [warn] NameVirtualHost 74.86.xxx.xxx:80 has no VirtualHosts

    [Sat Nov 08 09:04:03 2008] [warn] NameVirtualHost 74.86.xxx.xxx:80 has no VirtualHosts

    I'm rather confused about how to set up the server. Can someone point out what I might be doing wrong. Do I need to keep specifying:

    NameVirtualHost 74.86.xxx.xxx:80 like this

    Thanks in advance.

    you should only need to call NameVirtualHost once per IP, I'd take those extraneous entries out.

    I think you should just ignore these error messages :)

    I took the entries out just leaving:

    NameVirtualHost 75.126.xxx.xxx:80
    NameVirtualHost 74.86.xxx.xxx:80

    I also found there was one VirtualHost line with an "*" and I removed the "*".

    Everything working okay now.

    thanks,

    This is a warning message and can be ignored.
