    My new host is "DownTownHost.Com"
There are certainly few good things about them and I am recommending them.
    (1) There is now SQL queries/hour limit with them.
    (2) Now I have better resources as compare to HZ. (e.g. 50 SQL connections as compare to 15)
    (3) Their DB is certainly much faster than HZ. (I will try to post few Screenshots shortly)
    Thanks wayner :)
Certainly Pipes.. Let me know if I can be of any help to you. (Just add me on YIM)
I understand my limitations with shared host and I know how it works (I was involved in hosting for some time last year) but they way HZ handled my issue and responded me, it was simply not acceptable.

Currently I am with Downtownhost and even after just one day, I can clearly see the difference. (I will try post some ScreenShot)
Hay smub. If there is anything I can do, let me know. I am a member at their "support forum" and since I still have my old account so technically they "have to" listen to me else they will go down ........ ;)

As a matter of fact, Zone is in my "recommended" list as well. If I had to go with VPS I will certainly try them. But at this time, I knew for sure I don't need a lot of resource on server side.

PS. In my above link, I did use my Affiliate link but if you don't want that, you can simple use this one. "DownTownHost.Com"
Be sure, I do not recommend them to get affiliate money. (I wouldn't mind though)

    @Muneeb
Consider yourself lucky and just wait for the time when they will hit you.
As soon as your DB grow a bit, you will be getting trouble.
Pipes, even though it's just been two days but I can clearly see the difference of support and performance. :)
Here is a comparison when I was browsing PLD_Hits table via phpMyAdmin
    With HostingZoom.com
    [IMG]

    With DownTownHost.Com
    [IMG]

    Spot the difference ;)
Considering the fact that DataBase is "The Most" important part of directory and usually takes a lot of space & time, you can clearly see the performance difference.

Edited: I removed affiliate link as I got Infraction for above post. I had no idea before (My Ignorance).. Sorry about that.

I used both Hostingzoom & resellerzoom a while ago & i will say they were great at first (really good) but after a few months i had to move due to the same problem resource usage they used to close down any site that they deemed to use too much, one site was a forum that only have 3 users online at a time.

Oh really? I have 3 websites hosted on ResellerZoom and have no problem. One of them gets 100 uniques daily, another 500 uniques, and another 150 uniques, along with more than 5k hits daily each month.

Yea, but your best option (in my opinion) is to already be on a dedicated before even starting. Right now im in the process of starting my first directory and its already got its own dedicated.. hopefully this will avoid any of these kinds of problems.

Fastian - thank you for the heads up as I have been looking for an additional host. I hope you will post back with any updates. Also, has anyone tried SEO Hosting (from Hostgator)?

It seems by the sounds of things that there was something wrong with your server or your website was not quite set up properly. Internal Server Errors can be caused by a few things including just doing a minor wrong setting in the .httacess file can trigger it.

But anyway, the main focus of running a successful business is by choosing a web hosting provider that has very good and quick support which clearly seems like this one didn't if it took around 48 hours to solve it.

If I ever have a problem it takes me under 10 minutes to solve most of my problems. I also have a ping thing set up so if a site of mine is down or a server problem occurs, I will then get a SMS message via my cell phone.

Well, I can assure you there was no error/problem with mys site. It's certainly something at their end.
I was hitting their CPU usage when trying to backup a 7MB Database.
Their "limits" are just too much of a BS.

Not just that, for about 200+ error msgs that I got, they were able to provide just 5 entries of logs showing me that i was "exceeding" the limit.

Will like to know which one it is. Will see if it's worth trying.
