I've been playing with new Google Webmaster Tools for some time and I've noticed an interesting thing: Google shows as links some pages where webmasters tried to scramble the link with JavaScript so you don't SEO points. For example: http://www.slunecnice.cz/author/SoftLakeCity/ for my site http://www.softlakecity.com
That's not Javascript, it's a tracking URL. It is a normal link. It's just run through a redirect, using a 302. That's minorly noteworthy, since G used to screw up 302's big time, but not news since they reportedly fixed it a little while back. You can see the headers of the URL here: http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/header_detector.php -Michael
mvandemar, you're right. Thanks. Green rep for you. Have to look my other examples. I must've seen some JavaScript somewhere. However what you say has a lot more sense. Pierce, red rep for you. Just kidding.
It'd be hell of nice if they did, but they don't. My paid hotscripts listings bring me very nice traffic, but they never show up on a link:site search on Google.
I agree. p.s. Please note I wasn't talking about link:site but Webmaster Tools. link:site doesn't tell you much anyway.
