Go to the sig of the thread starter (since this is his thread) and join there.

To those of you who have a store or stores, check out the bottom of my GPS Systems page. I added an article to the "Powered By" section for SEO. I'll let you know how it works out.

I like the articles in the powered by section.. Did you just use html to do the titles and all of that?

Yes. Writing articles is very easy in IncomeStores, and HIGHLY recommended. When I look at my best SERP traffic to my store, it's usually on the article pages.

With a little link-building to those pages, you're in business.

I was talking about the articles that anarmyofone put on his main page purdue.
Is it setup to use HTML to do make the links work and titles bold and stuff like that..

Sorry. I think I didn't understand the question.

    Yes - HTML is permitted...

On that point - Is anyone having any trouble with the new article editor we've put in to facilitate formatting and html? Is it working okay for you? To auburnfan23's point above, I'd like to add it in a couple more places in the app such as the editor for the main page, etc... But wanted to make sure it was well tested prior...

    Thx

Thanks. Can anyone else validate that the new html editor in Articles is working okay for them? I've seen a few browser-related issues, so wanted to make sure before we pushed it out too far...

    Also:

    Beta 0.62 Release Notes

99-1 Out Clicks not matching what CJ is saying

Several users were seeing higher numbers in the IncomeStores out-click count than they were seeing at CJ and Amazon. After doing some research, we found that search engine spiders (notably Google) were causing the numbers to be higher in the IncomeStores reports. We've put in a new mechanism for end-users to click out of the IncomeStores product tonight that we believe the search engine spiders won't follow.

    124-2 Listing CJ Products first

Some of our store owners have reported higher conversions with CJ merchant products and wanted to be able to put those search results at the top of the output. Prior to 0.62, Amazon products were always first in the list. With the release of 0.62, the IncomeStore owner can now select the order of the products under ADMIN and GLOBAL SETTINGS. There are two new features coming with this release. The first is select if you'd like Auction Results or Fixed Price Results displayed to the user first. This essentially determines if eBay will be first. The second new feature is to toggle the order of Amazon and CJ Merchant Products within the Fixed Price Results section. With these two controls, we believe you now have full control over the ordering of your product suggestions in the search output. Leaving the settings on the default will cause your store to behave exactly as before.

74-1 Add a note saying CATEGORY NOT VISIBLE until sub-categories built

Several enhancements have been made to the category edit screen to help users understand which categories still need work.

95-1 Enhance Category Link For SEO

"It would be cool if the category pages could have the category name for the title instead of the index page title. Also, if the category name could show in the URL instead of cat=123."

We need to keep some info in the link, so it's a little dirty, but we also added the plain English to help your SEO.

I'm seeing better conversion from Amazon in my store. eBay really rots. Anyone else?

Nothing Ebay yet, some CJ products and some Amazon but the CJ products I am selling are worth a lot more commission than the Amazon so just a couple CJ sales out weigh 20 amazon sales so it just all depends on what your products and niche are..

Sorry. I should have posted about that. One of our marketing advisers REALLY doesn't like the new look. He asked that we split-test the new vs old. We ran the new one for the last 2 weeks and are now going to run a revised version of the old format for 2 weeks and compare conversions.

Not to fear, your entries to the forum and all affiliate link functionality is identical between both.. No worries. This is only CSS / format testing.

    Cheers...

I had a huge jump in traffic for one of my stores friday and saturday and now today only 2 visitors.. Any ideas on something I am doing wrong? Could I have been penalized for something in google?

    Thanks for any info..

I'm assuming your running Google Analytics in your store. Take a look and see what keywords and sources were driving the jump. Try to work backwards and see what it was. Perhaps you were DUGG or STUMBLED...

So I got around to signing up. Made a site and have started to post suggestions to the forum.

    So far so good :)

Only complaint is the article section. But you can see my post to the forum on that issue. Seems like easily fixable stuff (or something I am doing wrong!).
