Check out below what I got through my logo design site email form:

HELLO GOOD DAY,MY NAME IS MR BILL *** AND CONTACT TO KNOW IF YOU CARRY WINDOW BLINDS. I NEED THE WHITE 1" ALUMINUM IN THE SIZE 35 1/2 x 40" LONG" INCHS HEIGHT, INSIDE MOUNT BLIND. I WILL NEED 70 PIECES AND HOW SOON CAN YOU GET THEM READY FOR ME?..IT WILL BE PICKED UP. I WANT YOU TO EMAIL ME WITH THE TOTAL COST PLUS TAX FOR THE 70 PCS, I WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU FOR THE TOTAL PLUS TAX, SO THAT I CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH MY MASTER CARD FOR YOU TO RUN IT THROUGH FOR THE WHOLE TOTAL AMOUNT.

I hid last name in case the guy is genuine buyer and sent this to me by some incredible mistake.

It's all in caps as quoted above. Email address to reply to is yahoo one.

The last sentence is especially interesting, he's about to give me his master card. If it's scam I'm supposed to get greedy and pretend that I really sell window blinds. But I'm not sure what happens next.

    Anyone familiar with this?

Definitely looks like a scam. But probably a new one, never seen before. Have you tried to find his location from IP?

I had a similar one same style but for restaurant bookings. I got the same style 3 times over a two week period from different email addresses.
Would be nice to see how that benefit from it.

    thanks for sharing

Not sure but looks like Romania. There's only one IP that hit contact.php in last 24 hours.

I'll reply to them to see what happens :) Will be back with update as soon as/if they reply

first im curious to know why it matters? do you sell window blinds? considering taking this scammers stolen credit card info? after all, any
person that wants 70 blinds or whatever can run down the street to his local hardware store...

of course its a scam, the point is why does it matter, and why do you ponder on this if you do not sell blinds to begin with.

    I get these often.

It's probably one of those deals where they want to send you a check way over the amount (even though this isn't what you sell) and then tell you to cash it, keep your part of it, and ask you to get a cashier's check or money order with the extra cash to send back to them. You don't find out until several weeks later that you're in hot water because the original payment was a fake.

At least that's how I understand these scams work.

I get them asking for all types of products, so the fact that this isn't what you sell isn't a big deal. I think they just keep trying until they get someone to agree to "help" them.

Lots of gullible people out there fall for this stuff. They're probably also waiting for their huge check to arrive from Bill Gates for forwarding those hoax emails to everyone they know.

I see this all the time. Someone wants a random product from a totally different type of site. I've never responded so I don't know what kind of scam they're tying to pull, or if they're just clueless.

    Just ignore it.
