I've been trying to learn how to program/code for the longest time but I have so much difficulty with it. I don't know any developers either, but I've been looking for a partner so that we can work side by side on projects together. Recently I found a site called "FindTheTechGuy" which supposedly teaches you how to find a technical partner to help build your projects with you. It looks legit, but does anyone on DP have experience with it? I'd love to hear your insight...it just seems a little strange that you can 'teach' someone how to find a developer to partner with. Any insight would be nice!
It really depends on what you're bringing to the table. If you are just an idea man the programmer will feel like he's doing all the work and might not enjoy working with you. My recommendation is to continue to get better at programming but also make sure you have something to offer so it will be an even workload. Now on to actually finding developers, you'll meet them while you're learning but you could also do exactly what you're doing now. Go around posting on forums saying you're looking for a partner and you have such and such skills etc. Might take some time and you'll need some people skills to make friends but it shouldn't take you long.
