Hey everyone, I got a cool little tip a long time ago on how to make a some fast money. In most cases when you're trying to work online and create substantial income you need to have some capital. Capital is a little money you can start out with. No matter if you take the mostly free routes or not to make money you will need a few dollars. Sometimes an unexpected bill pops up and you need some quick cash to pay it. Whatever the case you need money and you need it ASAP! Well here's a good way to make a couple hundred for capital real fast. First go on some forums or sites and find someone who can and is willing to build you a small but professional website for $200-300. If you can do it yourself well then that just means more money for you, and it also means you should be doing that and making tons of cash rather than looking in forums how to make a quick buck. Anyway after you've found your company or person, get on yellowpages.com. Look up some basic companies in your local area. Like landscaping, plumbing, residential electrical work etc etc. You will see in the listings who does and doesn't have a website. Now it's no secret that getting online will expand your clientele and boost your profits. So what you do is simply call up some local businesses without a site and offer them your services. Tell them you can get them a small professional website for them for $500-600. This is a great deal because any big company will charge $1500 sometimes even more for a small pro site. Well If you can play the middle man you can pocket $200-300 easy. quick rundown: find some one to create a small professional website for $200-300 find a business that needs a website for $500-600 facilitate the need pocket $200-300 I've used this several times to grab some money and invest or pay an unexpected bill. I know other people have used it as well. Give it a try you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Wah, that is a very great idea! I have never hear of this one before, thanks a lot for sharing! Unfortunely, i live in France, i can find company who don't have a website yet but i don't have this capital f 200$ and don't know how to create a website, well, i know html language and all that but for the design and content...
Thanks for posting, it's a great idea, even if it works only in Western countries (companies in East Europe or in Latin America won't pay you 500-600 bucks for a homepage). But if you did this in the past for multiple times, why don't you do this continuously? If you're good at it, you could make big money by using this method.
That's a great idea RJ, that's a good twist on online services for offline businesses Thumbs up for you
Excellent idea that is underused. Even if the smaller companies have websites, many times they have very simple ones that look like they were made in the early 90s (very amateurish!) You can sell them on a website improvement package, and also talk about customer relationship building and follow-up services and maintenance (i.e. autoresponders!) I have talked to many offline business owners, and there are STILL so many out there that do not realize the power of having a list and being able to follow up with them. You will need to talk to them and be able to effectively convey this message, but once they "get it" you're almost assured of a sale!
I saw a couple responses that said "why aren't I doing this full time?" "if I had the money to start it up I would" well to answer/correct both of them... First: Why aren't I doing this full time? This isn't something you can really do full time. If you tried to accommodate everyone you would simply lose out in the long run competing with the big companies. Also if you find someone to build you the sites for that cheap then they are worth something and they will only be doing a couple to get some quick cash in slow times. In summary this IS NOT a full time online income option, but it is an option to get some quick cash for capital or an unexpected bill. Secondly: If I had the money I'd start this. Well see the point is that you don't need anything to start it up. You are the middle man, simple as that. A company wants a website, you have someone that will build one for cheap, you reap the benefits. There's no investment involved in this. You simply provide a company with a website that doesn't have one after you have found someone or some company that will help you out. And lastly for the people in a different country, just because the money transfer may be different does not mean you can't do the same exact thing! Seriously you may have to lower the price for your area but you can still use this same technique and earn some money fast.
That's a great idea for easy money, provided you dont end up with a fussy and stupid customer. Some customers think that as long as they have a website, business will pick up.
A way to approach the customers directly using the yellow pages is really good idea. Most of small business companies are not expecting much more complex website, just want to explore their business. You better try the free site builder tools to do it.
