A Great Social CMS Script?

I am looking for something that would be a cross between Myspace and Military dot com. I have Dolphin installed right now, the newest version. However, I am reading horrible things and it is virtually tied into Boonex's site very heavily. I want something awesome. I am trying out elgg at the same time but I am afraid that is not what I am looking for in this case. Anyone have something solid that might help?

Frank as a huge fan of Joomla I would love to but they haven't even released it yet. There is no demo or anything. I have been searching for anything for the last hour so now i am really curious. If you know where I can put eyes on this please let me know.

Ok I am still looking for the best open source social network platform that I can work with to become something special. I think I am going to delete dolphin 6.1. Its just to tied into their system. Looks awesome but I want something i can develop and it looks like you have to go through hoops just to make it something not dolphin.

I was looking at Phpizabi and their demo sites that use this are not in good condition. Some have switched to another platform and some just went out of business and shut the door. I don't have a good feeling about this. Does anyone know if they fixed the database issue they were having?

I don't want Phpfox or anything because i don't want to shell out the $300 for it when I am going to spend a lot changing it to my own needs. I have spent a solid day looking at thing.

Frankcow, if you have something to show me for Joomla and JomSocial that can take on dolphin or so please show me the way brother!

I did read your post and it wasn't really what I was looking for. I didn't care for the layout. I might of missed the demo but I figured the site was actually using the script. Am I wrong? Looks like the vbb social layout. Is there another site that is using this? I am open to it but I need more information to go I think and I will admit I didn't spend that much time informing myself with php fusion.
