I am not sure how many of you have used this forum software before, but I stumbled across it and it is just great. SE Friendly URL's (for apache servers) installed and all the pages validate at w3c on the sites. It's free and easy... just the way AC likes em'.... Here is the software (http://www.simplemachines.org) PS: I have no vested interest in their product beyond promoting what I think is a great forum software and using it.
really ? but having a look at their forum on that site and found that the url is also not SEO friendly xxhttp://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=20207.0 .. you can see the forum main page has a pr6 and all sub are pr0 this is the first time i saw a url that has a .(dot) other than normal instance
They are not using the SE friendly url mod themselves. They discuss it in detail in the forum. Word of mouth is their big thing (similar to how Linux started ). The SE Friendly Mod works, there are quite a few of the users their who have many forum pages indexed. Do not let the flaky PR be your determining factor... hehe...
Uploading now :] Will give a link to the forum when it's installed... I did a google search for seo friendly forum software and ended up back here lol. google is great. edit: http://www.howardsternforum.com/index.php/topic,2.0.html commas, periods will need to be removed but will do that now
