It's really weird but Canada doesn't seem to have nearly the amount of online directories that the US has. The best one I know of is Brownbook.net because they're world-wide. The trick with them is to make sure you tag as many keywords as possible (in the "tags" section) because for me so far, every "tag" got me a backlink in both Google AND Yahoo. So for one listing, I got like 25 links - not bad! Also, Hotfrog.ca is a good directory. It doesn't give you backlink unfortunately, but if you put a keyword in your business title, a lot of times your directory listing with HotFrog will show up on Google for that Keyword (so if your title is Toronto Lawyer - Smith & Associates, it might show up if you type in "Toronto Lawyer" into Google). Not all of my HotFrog listings show up on the first page, but a great number of them do. I'm in Toronto too - but all my clients are American!
