If i link to a site from a links page that has no page pank, but my links page is linked to my homepage in both ways and homepage has pr... Would i get penalized in serps or any other way if that other site that i link to links to other sites like link farms or something similar?
Yes you have to be very careful about which websites you link to. Linking to spammy websites can get your own website penalized. This is partly why I don't really do link exchanges any more. I don't want to deal with the hassle of monitoring the websites that I link to. I know any of those websites can turn spammy if they have a new person/company doing their marketing or if they sell the website to someone else. There are other marketing strategies that are more effective than link exchanges without the risks.
Hey thanks once more vansterdam Tried to add to your rep but it says that i should add rep to someone else before increasing the rep again... However wonder why do some of the bigger websites link to other small websites and risk their rankings... I might consider to stop link exchanges soon totally then and yes i am monitoring the websites and as soon as they link too much or link to non relevant sites i unlink them...
