Hello! Has anyone come accross a good SEO book they could recommend? I know there are tons of sites online with links, resources and articles (especially this forum!!!) that have a ton of info, but what I'm looking for is a hard copy that will keep me busy on the road as well. Recently ordered 'SEO for Dummies', any other good suggestions? Thanks greatly!
Wow, never heard of this book but it's likely to be good if it's in the Dummies range...recently read Marketing for dummies which was good...
I've actually gotten some referrals (for seo-help.com) from the book's on-line companion: http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesTitle/productCd-0764567586,page-1.html
Great on-line companion site ... now I'm looking forward to getting the book even more ... the local stores are all sold out of it Thx
You may want to check out this one as it covers it all from the view of a high ranked site: instantSEOexpert.com Hope this helps Paul Easton
jills book is the best ive seen super easy to understand http://seo-easy-search-engine-optimization.com/Writing-for-the-Search-Engines.html
Haven't seen any books, most wouldn't be worth reading anyways, most people write SEO articles like SEO is the spammiest thing in the world (if you are thinking the same thing, read the SEO summary on my site)
yeah i gotta also plug www.seobook.com. aaron (author) is a great guy and really knows his stuff - although regretfully i have yet to actually read the book, but have conversed with him alot via forums and such.
Aaron's book is being pimped in many corners by a large group of people, but the only person I know who actually read it was not impressed. I have not read the book myself. Dan Theis also has several good e-books available. No time to dig for links. Just search his name...
A good starter book is Google Hacks published by O'Reilly Really has a lot of good information that helps you understand the logic behind a search engine crawler
simple update ... the Dummies book arrived today and already read a few chapters ... good read so far ... Google Hacks - will try that next ... thx any more hard copy recommends?
I bought Aarons seobook and Jill's Whalen Nitty-gritty of Writing for the Search Engines both we worth thier weight in gold Aaron's book has a ton of good info seo, links, directories and jill's book was all seo both are valuable resources for me Jill's book was easier to understand for seo and was super simple to put into practice my 2 cents
