The ultimate question is if you were to have to choice would you want to get rid of scammers or keep them in DP? Simple solution to cool down a % of scammers. We all know that 90% partnerships are scams and also more than 90% of the people asking for a partnership/investment have less than 100 posts. Make it so that you must have 100 posts or more to create a topic in the partnership forum. Sure, there still will be scammers but less of them trying. Its really sad to see the mass amount of people robbing all of the others who are not smart enough to realize that giving money to strangers is not secure. Tell me that's not a good idea?
Requiring 100 posts (or even 1,000) would do very little to help. Just because someone has xx number of posts, it most certainly doesn't mean they aren't a scammer.
No it doesn't, but the odds go down of someone joining DP just to scam and that being one of the few places to go fourth and try. There are a lot of people who join just to post there then leave after they have taken what they can. This would make it just a little more effort to scam for them.
Ehm no. That won't help at all because scamming is a habit for the Indians, they have to scam people, they will do anything to accomplish that, you even get robbed the minute land in India, it's just the way they are. Why am I saying this? Because many Indians owe me money that they never paid, and only Indians.
Of course they "can". but if there is reputation to be lost then the amount of them drops. Just a theory though.
This theory cannot be implemented in the real world, to be precise. I could make 100 posts, ask for an investment of $xxx or maybe $xxxx and run away with the money. (I won't be doing that, but there are evil souls who can always get around the fence) Why not do your own checks? Ask for the partners phone number Identity proof (If big numbers are involved) Some other proofs that makes you comfortable with the fact that even if the guy runs away, he's gonna have it. Ultimately there's karma, which gets them Honestly, keeping post count as a roadblock won't help.
