Hey, I'm looking into making a website and I'm trying to stay away from forums. I was hoping to have more of a discussion board similar to what they have here: http://www.sidereel.com/_post/_discussion/1 (can't post links yet *sigh*) Not a forum, just a simple place to post things and have people respond. I'm also mostly going for this because I think it will be easier to integrate with the main site and the login system then trying to dig around into something like vbulletin's registration and login system. So does anyone know of a good discussion board system like the one I showed? Thanks in advance for any help!
I know there are some good forums, but I'm not looking for a forum. I want more of a clean, simple discussion board. I don't want all those categories and pages of coding and stuff like that. Like the example I gave, theirs was simple. They didn't have post count, signatures, or anything like that. Just the option to start a discussion, and the option to add a comment. That is what I'm looking for. Really simple sorta thing, and will hopefully not include a bunch of files running purely on functions like most forums (so you are forced to look in the functions.php and find what each function does to understand the other files)

You are only looking for a simple system so why dont you make it your self. There must be thousands of tutorials showing you how to make your own mini-forum.
