Hello Guys, I have been doing web development for the last 10 years on and off varying between real life and online life within this period. I have been away from the internet and web development for the last couple of years however I would like to make a come back and start developing sites again. I used to run entertainment sites (videos, gaming etc.) which earned 4000-5000 usd per month via adsense however I have been away for so long that I am not sure what the current trends are. What sort of a site would be a good idea to start developing right now ? What sort of sites are easier to promote/market and ultimately monetize ? Which areas/fields are easier to get into ? Just find something that you really like to do, if your chosen niche bores you, then you will be down sooner than later
Only some serious research could get you an answer to this question. Generically speaking, the good markets are health, weight loss, internet marketing/make money online, business opps, dating, parenting, education, some sports (like football or golf)... Each of them has advantages and disatvantages, and each of them has various sub-niches, more or less profitable. First you should do some preliminary research to generate a list of possible niches, then do keyword research to evaluate those niches.
