A good hostgator alternative? Looking for a cheap, cpanel host!

    Here is the list of good and reliable hostgator alternatives (that don't belong to the EIG group):
    Mdd hosting
    Stablehost
    Siteground
    Site 5
    Hawkhost
    Namecheap
    A2 hosting
    Webhostinghub

    Almost all of them offer pretty cheap prices, some even lower than Hostgator (try namecheap, for example - 9 USD per year hosting) and excellent service.

    P.S. A small orange and Arvixe were also pretty good, but they have been acquired by EIG recently. So I guess, the quality will be degrading with time.

    You can even get a reliable VPS ( unmanaged ) in less than 5$ per month these days. However low cost VPS servers are unmanaged and you need to be technical enough to manage them.
