    Hi,

I am currently developing a simulator/game to learn how affiliate marketing is being done.
The great thing about this is, that you don’t have to risk any money.

You get to play around with real offers, real traffic sources and real CPC prices in a simulated environment.
The ultimate goal is to teach you how to build profitable campaigns.

If you are interested in this game, please sign-up to my email list here:

I need to know if there’s interest for such a game and what you want to see me develop.

    Have a great week,
    Andy

Are the customers "Simulated" as well, because if they are, then the simulation will be flawed. Business is not really a game and it would be better to test with real results as opposed to simulated results

    Yes, the customers are simulated.
But, I'm using as much statistic data as possible to simulate them as close to reality as possible.

Of course it would be better to take $10,000 and test everything for real.
But who has that kind of money to play with?

The idea of the game is to teach you the skills to create profitable campaigns.
You have the freedom to test different strategies, make mistakes and try again if you fail.
Nobody is perfect from the start, but you might be a step ahead with a some dry-runs.

    Thanks for your feedback al,
    Andy

I'd suggest giving everyone just $200 to start out, since more than 50% of newbies fall into that category.

I was thinking about $500/month. That's what Charles Ngo is suggesting in his blog.
But I can make this customizable to let users choose the amount to start with.

Man, this sounds like a brilliant idea. I mean I do enough of that at work already, I don't need to waste time at home on games about it. HOWEVER, if this was around when I was starting, I bet I would have played the FOXTROT out of that game.

I hope it all works out well for you. Share a link when you're done? I'd love to try playing.

In similar vein, I wonder if there's any value in a bloody great flowchart that would take you through each stage of your IM journey. You'd enter your details and preferences, and the results you get, and the flowchart would make appropriate suggestions for improvement. It would have to be huge, because the available options and possible results are so varied but there's no harm in playing around with the idea.

Interesting idea, but you would probably need to constrict it to a certain niche. Even then it's probably hard to cover enough possibilities to make it really usable.
But I think it would have value for newbies, since they have something to follow along on their first steps.
I think it's a good idea to think about it!
