I do think they're better smaller...I think this is a brilliant idea, I was laughing hard at this thread. You definitely need to get the word out before someone "borrows" your hard work. Maybe you can try to get a buzz at the social bookmark sites, like Digg? I'm new to this, so my advice is probably not the best, but it seems something like this would catch on fairly quickly. Send out some emails to friends, get myspace involved like you said. Heck, post it in Craigslist even, there are bored people on there all day and they'll visit your forums to mess around.
