and how are freelancers supposed to start then? In the beginning they don't have feedback and if nobody will give them a project because of it.....

I found out the hard way that it's the big downside of freelancing websites. Everybody expects feedback. If you don't have then you are supposed to either bid insanely low amounts (aka work for free) or quit.

As a side note if you bid to low people may think you are doing bad work, especially since you have no feedback so this is a catch 22.

I have had a couple of bad freelancers from GAF and RAC - I find it frustrating. I am looking for a new site to find freelancers - anyone tried surefirehire.com?

Let this be a lesson: you get what you pay for. I've never used GAF, but heard mixed reviews. Def keep the negative feedback. Let him own his poor work ethic and the fact that you lost a client over this? He deserves it, but also, you have to make sure you have a backup plan so that you can deliver if your freelancer doesn't.

Something wrong with that, because you can not post a review until the transaction is successful in Getafreelancer's payment system.

You did the right thing, Negative feedback is necessary to make aware other service buyers with the problems with the Service provider
You must have done it before.
I wonder how many accidents, marriages , illness due the freelancer fail in every project
Doesn't reply and come up with silly excuses

I don't understand why you would remove negative feedback on someone who didn't do the job they promised, just let them suffer from what they did wrong, and if they get enough positive feedback, 1 negative won't hurt them, and if it does, its their fault.

I had only great experience with GAF freelancers. I always make sure I check their ratings and use only good providers. I have had over 60 projects there so far.
