A free guide for getting best search results from Google

I see many of my friends not being able to get the best search results from Google when searching for information or files or anything else and they wonder how I get the exact results they need so I wrote this short in the point guide to help non experienced users get best results from google.

Searching for information.

When you search for information don't write so long phrases. make it as short as possible and use the powerful (+) operator which helps you get related results.

for example if you are searching for drivers HP dv6000 laptop instead of writing

HP dv6000 laptop drivers

you can write

dv6000+drivers

this will return every page that has both dv6000 and drivers on it which will for sure get the best results.

Intitle operator

another good way of finding information about something is using intitle operator which returns only pages that have your search keyword in the page title which will return more related pages to what you are searching for

example

intitle dv6000 drivers

Keep it single

Yes. don't search for plural words use single instead. google will return the plural anyways so why write complicated plural words ?


Searching for files

this part can completely change your online life!

let's say you are searching for mp3 songs by shakira so you write

shakira filtype:mp3

now you get free music provided by google

now let's make things more complicated and mix things together so if you want the mp3 song by shakira that is called "Don't Bother" so you search for

shakira+Don't Bother filetype:mp3

searching for ebooks will be easy with this operator so if you are gonna look for an ebook about diet you can type

diet filetype:pdf

There are more operators and tips that make search more accurate but I wanted to keep this guide short and simple

PS: this all can be done via google advanced search but I wanted to let you know how to search faster

Searching for MP3s is not a good idea anyway.
That's why we have torrents and emule
