If they are targeted as link farm schemes being interconnected they can do more harm than good!

Well, so far they are not being penalized by SEs. Several of them have good PR, and are doing quite well. Unless G makes some sort of change in its look on these sites, I think they are a good investment, as long as you get into one early enough.

I have bought links on a couple of them now, and did quite well with the traffic they sent me.

Yes.... it's not enough that's why I've come up with my own original idea.... the billion pixel homepage....

Of course there will need to be some serious developments in PC and monitor technology for it to work though.....

    Cheers,
    Paz.

Don't worry. The hardware will be ready before your page is filled :)

I'm still in the sandbox so there is no PR to share right now. Anyway I thought about it and here are my conclusions so far:
    1) What I offer is direct traffic, not PR. If you look for PR, a pixel page is not the right place.
    2) I don't link directly (I'm counting each click, that's why I can state the current CPC for each icon). So there is no possible damage.
Now, if customers request direct links, I may change this policy in the future. But PR is not part of the deal.

People'll get bored about them after a while. But IMO advertising on milliondollarhomepage.com was worse it, since it already brought its advertisers a decent amount of traffic.

Don't know about advertising on its clone sites...

    1) I offer pagerank...
    2) I offer direct links..(not counting clicks) there is no damage, it is the same as any directory and i do not request a reciprocal.

    and just as an extra...
    3) lifetime links with anchor text on a page with not many links..

and it's really affordable too... The Tallest Advert :)

You offer PR you still don't have... BTW, this is normal, most pixel-inspired webpages still don't have any PR.
Some people think link farms hurt. I personaly don't think it is true.
However, the counter has a big advantage: it shows how it works.
    Transparency.
Same here. Every link is posted at least once in the blog(s). But still not direct, at least now.
£10. This is affordable but is it cheap?
What is the CPC so far?

It will have, my other one sits at PR5, so hopefully it won't be long.

over a year a mere 3 clicks/day would be 1penny/click, more clicks than that would make it microscopic.

BTW: I like your site design.

With million pixel websites and PR I say give them some more time. Everybody has seen google delay PR rankings over several months or even longer. With the million pixel home pages moving up in google index it is only a matter of time before some have PR. Google does not seem to be punishing them at all.
