I'm tracking various KW's for a number of sites and have been doing so for a while. Occasionally I'd see -9749 or 9909 but usually I'd see some single digit movement in rankings. Today, each and every one of the site/kw combos showed 0 daily change. The more I think about it, the more suspicious it appears. I sure hope I didn't break it.
I also had no movement for all keywords. Not a first but it is a rarity. Luckily there are a lot of #1's so its a good thing.
Then maybe it is broken.. To have 2 people report no change has got to be statistically a long shot. Anybody else see no change today?
I watch 40 or so keywords. Normally I see 10 keywords or more move a little up or down. Today only one keyword moved so I don't think the tracker is broken. I think google did something odd.
Like, take the day off yesterday? Thanks for the reply andy. It's good to know the tool is still working fine.
I thought I was going crazy!! I had NO changes, so I checked it AGAIN, and still no changes. Then I saw others were in the same boat with me. Maybe we are all crazy OR the system isn't working today. Either way, it ISN'T a good thing, as Martha Stewart wouldn't say!!
I had 0 changes out of 160 keywords. I didn't even try the rest. This is really strange. I was so concerned I had to come and hunt up this thread to be sure it wasn't just me.
no changes on my kws too. I'm not [that] crazy, and I dont know martha stewart but somethings not right
Plenty of change on this side of the pond and I have seen no/little change numerous times before without any relationship to big events. And according to Nostradamus (dfsweb) we're still 6 weeks away from a PR update. Keep breathing...
This morning things are very green so I guess GG was just getting ready to do a major shift. I jumped double digits where I could and knocking on heaven's door where I was already ranked in the top 10. (And traffic hit an all time high yesterday.)
The keywords I track have never moved from 0 .....how long does it take before it starts working, I have been tracking for about three weeks. Probably more to the point how far down does the tracker go, they are most likely way down the list. MSN and Yahoo are better, I am in the top ten for a few keywords. Traffic is growing from these two engines as well and I am seeing more relevant words moving into the top ten/twenty.
You can set how deep you want it in your preferences but I think 200 is the deepest. I'm not sure what the default is..
Interesting I'm on the side of the field where I haven't seen any results, of current position or changes, within 2 days now. Odd, will hold my breath for another few days. Curious, are there other free KW tracking software out there to do a comparison? Also, does anyone know which search engines and directories are tracked and measured within the Digital Point keyword tracking tool? Is it just Google or does it include Yahoo, the new MSN, altavista, etc.? And does it include directories such as DMOZ? Thanks Kael
DP just tracks Google. But I just now finished up a knock-off of DP's tool for MSN: Click on Keyword Tracker Please understand that this program is not at all mature yet and I anticipate there will be problems with it initially. PM me with any bugs you find. Thanks.
