Hi Guys, Our position on the main UK Search Engine results have been strong for quite some time now (max of 12th). However since the end of January results have been steadily dropping, so much so that the average position is probably 20th - 22nd on Google(UK) where we were 6th some time ago. For our main key phrase (Payroll Software), we were running with a density of approx. 11%, but on examining the posts decided to decrease the density to approx. 8%. These changes were made just over 3 weeks ago. So, my questions are three-fold(!): 1) In your experiences, what sort of key phrase density should you aim for? 2) How long should you wait for changes to take affect? (Because I'm starting to get worried). 3) Could any of you possibly look at our site and give any helpful comments? http://www.qtac.co.uk Thanks!
It depends on the popularity of your web site with the google...i see your site is a pr4 so i guess google goes there often.. just give it good content and add fresh content regularly...that way it wud start loving you and when it start lovin you then every body will love you... Manish
The fact you are on page 2 in google with only 15 backlinks means that your site is already very well optimised and is in a great position to move up. Sign up somebody on this forum to manually submit your site to 200 directories for about $15 and write some articles/tutorials about your subject matter. Submit these articles to as many article sites as you can and your rankings will get much better.
well for me keword density is not that much consider as a factor if you a research on your competitors density you can find the top ranking has below 1 % and sometimes nothing Its the IBl that really counts the most in terms of getting good rankings in google
Just dont bother about keyword density...keep it 3-7% on the page and thats it... Its certainly the ibls that matters... get quality ibls and you are done...
Thanks Mad4, I kept thinkin "Internal Backlinks?" for some reason. Though common sense was sayin "relevant backlinks from other sites". Just needed the right words...
keep your IBL stable , from your reagion with relevent anchors and even better if you get some translated keywords links.
