I'm not new to webdesign. But, I am new to running a website.

    Question 1. Buying a Domain.
A domain is just the name of my website, correct? I create an account on a webhosting website, and purchase a domain name. That simple?

    Question 2. Sub-Domains/E-mail Accounts.
A sub-domain, is a add-on to a regular domain, kinda. If my domain name is: www.domainname.org, then my subdomain name would be: something.domainname.org, correct? E-mail Accounts; Some sites have a limited number of email accounts for the website. Example of an email account from the website would be: something@domainname.org correct?

    Question 3. Multiple-Domains for a single Account
Does anybody know of a website where you pay to create an account, and can have unlimited Domain's on that account? I've heard of this, but have never actually seen it done.

Thnx in advance for the help, guys/gals.

    Question 1 & 2 you are correct

Question # you should look into gtting a reseller account. You do not have to sell accounts but you can host as many of your own sites as you want. I think you can get an account like this from Host Gator for 24.95 per month.

Most sites have set number of domain names hosted. 100 is good.

Sub domain name could be opposite with sub name after main domain name also.

Domain name should have some keywords you will use on your site. You can also get a country specific domain name and host site in that country to get better rank for that country.

Example would be .ca for canada.

Just a suggestion. There are a lot of reseller hosts out there.

I am in no way associated with Host Gator by the way.

    yes to # 1 and 2.

    Number 3.

msdosty.com allows unlimoited also. Or Ipower.com allows 5 addon domains. Point a domain to another folder on the account.

    Thanks,

question number 1 and 2 are obviously correct what you guess.
Getting a reseller account to host multiple websites is not necessary as there are many plans in shared account also , and many companies offer unlimited addon/park domain service , bluehost, hostgator, liquidweb and many more. But if you want performance go for a vps or a dedicated server . Cheaper will not always go smoother bro. High profile companies have better service and better support.

Yeah, but if you have connections to insiders, you can get good quality for cheap, lol.
