Got a couple of questions regarding adwords so if anyone has any input please feel free... 1. Why does QS change by day and night? I have several keywords that are QS 10 in the evening, and QS 7 in the daytime 2. Is there any reasons to have some keywords with a QS of 7/8 to not be getting any impressions? It shows that the ads are being shown, however i have around 5-6 keywords that just dont seem to get any impressions at all even though theyre highly searched phrases 3. Has anyone here ever used any google partners paying a set price per month for advertising? if so what was your thoughts? Cheers
1. I never experienced day/night QS changes but then again, I don't, track this way. It seems unlikely. Does this happen every day? Is this a new campaign? 2. QS has nothing to do with impressions. If you don't get impressions it's because there may be few searches on your keywords or your bid could be below the first page threshold. 3. Are you talking about someone managing your Adwords account for you? I provide that service myself. Learn more about Adwords and QS in my Adwords FAQ.
1. Yes this has happened everyday for the last week now, just thought it was strange. 2. I know QS has nothing to do with impressions, the keywords are highly searched 3. No i dont need someone to manage my account. I mean something like this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1596508&highlight=google
1. Probably some kind of maintenance affecting the QS or it's occurring naturally, although it would be strange. I download QS data every day and you will see QS changing from one value to another and back again to the previous value all the time. Seems to be natural. In any case, not anything I'd worry about. 2. They obviously are not searched as often as you think. Or there's something affecting the number of impressions. Again, maybe you are not bidding high enough to be on the first page although you should see that easily. 3. I would not use such a service. I assume they take a percentage of that $80 for themselves leaving less for the campaigns thus limiting your exposure. For some campaigns, you may spend less than that on clicks, although most would easily spend more. Doesn't appear like they use your own accounts so when you decide to leave, you don't have a record of what was done.
1. Ok, it was more of a being curious thing 2. Hmm, they are highly searched for keywords, also the keywords in question are QS 7, one is showing a position of 2.6, the other 2 are showing 0 so not displaying, though i cant understand why as according to the status they are displaying.... random 3. Thanks for the advice. I did wonder how anyone was able to offer such a service though there is some form of google certified advertisers or something and i only wondered as the price seemed too good to be true. I spend more than 10 times that so it did catch my eye
Since my last reply most of my keywords have gone to QS 10 and stayed there so am happy about that, Quick question... If i have a keyword that is qs 10 and shows ad position being 1.0 is it weird that my average CPC for the same keyword can go up and down whilst the QS and ad position stay at the top?
What's so weird? CPC may still vary even in first position, it's not static. It's also depends more on what the advertiser below you bids. As this changes, so does your CPC.
I said "is it weird?" not "its weird" Wasnt sure if the prices would change that much when everything else was so positive. Either way, Cheers for the response
1. There are possibly other bidders who are showing their ads for some time duration and not the full 24 hours and the competitors bids also affects your bids. 2. May be the keywords are highly searched but not that much for that particular geographical location , if you geo-trageted it per city/state.
1. True, hadnt thought of that 2. Again true, as i do geo target, and only have numbers for searches on a worlwide basis
Hey Paulie, Just a few comments that might help you analyze a too good to be true ad in the future. quote It costs $80/month only. Really cheaper than your own PPC campaign (Adwords or Yahoo! Advertising) endquote Why do you think its a good deal at all.. 1. They never guaranteed you 5,000 clicks, leads, or even impression for the month... so what do you get? 2. Would you have been happy if you got only 2 impressions for the month... they never said you would. 3. Notice they offered review copies for 50 bucks. 4. No one even took them up on it.. 5. The thread petered out after about 4 or 5 posts. 6. They stated they were starting a business... so they had no idea if it would work. 7. The gave no indication that they had ever done a campaign before... probaly using you to experiment so they could slowlly learn how to do it on your nipple... oh I mean nickle. So bottom line this was never a too good to be true... they never offered anything except to run a campaign for you ... which might make you a million dollars from the 80 bucks or might make you 10 cents and i would venture to say it would be closer to ten cents.... and I am not too sure about the ten cents. So study the details very carefully on any deal...
Hmm that wasnt my point. I wasnt going to use that particular person BUT as it seems to be something authorised by google that ive been hearing about lately i just wanted to hear from people that had used such a service.
