Hi. I'm looking to set up around 9 proxies, with the intention of getting as many people on the websites, then after 1-2 months I will sell them on, hopefully at a profit. So, what I need to ask is: 1) What is traffic? Is it the amount of people you get on your website? 2) How much will my proxies be worth at the end, considering they are .info and I will be advertising them a little bit, which leads me on to question 3) How do I go about advertising my proxies?? 4) Where can I get cheap, short term hosting? 1) What is traffic? Is it the amount of people you get on your website? Traffic is basically defined as the number of times a website is viewed by a unique visitor within a stipulated time. So you are basically correct in saying that. 2) How much will my proxies be worth at the end, considering they are .info and I will be advertising them a little bit, which leads me on to question This depends on what you perceive to be "the end" if you mean after 1-3 months then depending on the traffic the proxy site recieves and the money earned with each proxy site. This is a totally inaccurace estimation as with out the previous information it is hard to judge i would say $5-$100 per proxy site. 3) How do I go about advertising my proxies?? Proxy sites can be advertised in many ways, most people when first starting in the proxy business go straight ahead with proxy topsites however i do not support this strategy at all i have never found them useful and truthfully find it a waste of time. The best ways of receving traffic i have done are through Yahoo Groups and Yahoo Answers. Other ways which i have found to be worth while are forum signatures make the anchor text catchy and interesting. If you are looking for short term hosting i can do that my self on a server of my friends we can sort out a deal. If you are not interested in this, well the best place to look is on this forums buy,sell and trade section mainly in services>web hosting. You will find many people advertising hosting that they can offer there. However be sure to check itrader feedback, post count of that member and any testimonials they might have just to ensure everything is legit. Hope this helped.
