A few questions about submitting articles?

Hey all. I have a few quick questions related to SEO and submitting articles to article directories.

    - Won't submitting articles to article sites make my content non-unique because it is posted in 2 places on the internet?

    - Should i include the entire article.. word for word, or submit half of it and then have a link that says "To read more click here" (and it will link to my website)

    - What are some good places to submit articles to besides ezinearticles.com?

    - Should the link to my website go directly to the article i submitted and should the link's anchor text relates to the article i submitted? For example, if i submit an article about basketball and my site is about sports, should the link say: <a href="http://www.sports.com/">Sports Articles</a> or should it link to the direct article such as: <a href="http://www.sports.com/articles/cool-things-about-sports.html">Cool things about Sports</a>

    - I haven't submitted any articles to anywhere in the past 3 months since my site opened.. should i submit them all at once, or how often should i submit them?

I really appreciate all the help i can get. Thank you so much. I love DigitalPoint. :)

    hi to you also,
don't include the links, inside the article, if you have a resource box in the article. if you don't have a resource box, then just put your link skillfully in the article, so that it looks a part of the article.
don't use html, just put your link once from http, and once without the http and www so that, the article admins don't remove your url.
check out the pr4+ article submission sites, that will be helpful!:)

I always distribute a different version than the one on my site. Yes it takes more time and effort but its worth it. put the best version on your site

I will say keep your site content unique but as far as Articles are concern it will not remain unique after submitting to public space like article directories some how somebody will make it duplicate without liking back to you its better to submit all top article directories.

    - As long as your article is unique, your article will be the first to be indexed and therefore ranked. The other articles that get posted (along with people using your article for their site) will get penalized for dup (this is also debatable) but your main article will never ever get penalized.

    - The article should be more of an enticement than anything else, should be a full article but shouldnt give all the info away as they wont need to really go to your site anymore.

EzineArticles the best mate, 2 articles from there took my mortgage site from PR0 to PR2.

    - Make your link go to the most revelant page that you are writing about. This will also give weight to your inner pages. As far as revelance goes, no point in writing a baseball article and having a knitting website that you are linking to (basically what you are doing is just looking for a backlink which there are much easier ways of achieving this). Keep it revelant and you will do well and Google will love you.

    - This is debatable, if you have a basic account with ezinearticles then it takes time for the article to get accepted. I would say the most effective is to submit 2 articles a day and keep the content revelant as possible.

Hope this helps, my humble experience...

I find this thread useful...thanks.... I have been wondering about article submissions for a while, and intend to add this to my plan..

So does submitting 1 unique niche article, with high keyword density (and 1 link to my site), to 50 article repositories? improve the ranking of my site for that keyword substantially?

-In my opinion, you can submit the same article to different sites. I usually prefer changing the article after 20-25 art. directories.

-Include all article and use keywords as your anchor text to get back to your site and do not use stuff like click here.

article directory list, also dir. list

-use main keywords of your site as anchor text.

-the point is consistency.submit your articles to art. sites daily on an average of your choice.

Just because your original article on your site was the first and has been known to google for sometime does not automaticly give it immunity to becoming a dupe. Always write articles for use as articles and keep your original content to yourself.

As a rule I always distribute a different version of the article than the one I put on my site

    Hi All,

Thanks for the useful information. We are just in the process of having press releases developed for one of our sites. It is the first time we are using the article submission technique to assist with SEO.

Can anyone recommend a free software application that will assist with the submission of articles? Hopefully the software will allow you to manually enter article sites to grow the list rather then being restricted to the list provided :)

    Rick
