So i'm going to sell my domain name www.digital-pod.com and I just have a few questions about doing it.

1.Do I get charged when I transfer the domain.
2.How do I transfer the domain from a godaddy account?

    Thankyou very much.

    1. Depend who it's registered with and where it's being transfered to.
    2. Depends whether it's staying with GoDaddy or going to another registrar.

GoDaddy will do a free push if you have the other party's name, address and email.

Transfer to another registrar will cost a years registration fee - and the year will be added on to the current registration - so you lose nothing.

If you sell the domain for a significant amount of money consider using an escrow service, although these may not be available if one of the parties is a minor.

A "significant amount" will vary from person to person and will depend on the trust you have for the buyer.

The most you will lose is the price you paid for your domain name, that is if no one buys it.

There is no cost involved in selling your domain name and no cost in transferring, at least to the seller.

If you advertise then probably that is your only cost.

No, most registrars will allow a free "push" from one account to another provided the buyer also has an account with the company.
