Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to SEO and I've been reading as much as possible. I've got a few questions that hopefully someone can help me with: 1) I've heard a lot of talk about Google Supplementals (and how it is bad if your pages get moved to the supps.) Ok, where are the supplementals? And how would you find out how many pages have been added to the supps vs. regular index? 2) I've picked up on a lot of special search terms i.e. allintitle:, site:, link:, etc. Is there a comprehensive list of the special search terms somewhere - preferable one that showed multiple search engines? Thanks for any help. I look forward to positng more and getting into the seo talk with you guys/gals.
1. do this search: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:http://80strivia.blogspot.com/&btnG=Google+Search you will see that you can "repeat the search with the omitted results included." The omitted results are the supplemental results. 2. http://www.google.com/help/operators.html
When you do a search on Google, some results will have 'Supplemental Result' written in green, just before the 'cached' link. The easiest way to find these is to search for "site:www.yourdomain.com ***". Cryo.
Sorry BILZ, you´re wrong. Omitted are the results having very similar title and descriptions (very often those that are in supplemental), that for google do not have just enough difference to file, but the results signed as OMITTED also are from the main index.
allintitle: shows all the titles found in your query site: shows the site map of your website link: shows all the back links allinurl: shows all the url found in your query
