A few more descriptive links or more links?

    Hi All,

On my index page I have a few internal text links with long descriptions but I'm wondering if I should swap them for more links?

These link to categories of content within the site. I'm wondering whether the search engines need say three or more words in the link to make any sense of them. Or do they just check that they're either internal or external links?

    Hope this makes sense! ;)

    Cheers, p.

I don't think I'm going to do very well in SEO:

I can't even write a catchy enough title to a forum thread so that people will actually read it and reply!

    ;)

Perhaps I should get a professional writer to do my forum threads!?

if those links are pointing to one site... why just choose only only.. SE's might notice that you are cheating..

Hi leftybogs, thanks for the response. These are internal site navigation links so it's of more use to indexing the site. My question is; should I have more of them or fewer with more details?
