    no follow on links?
does this just not share the page rank/& indexing?
should i do this to links that are not relevant to my site?or links i dont want to support but need the link!!
would it help my page rank to add no follow to all links other than local(links to my site)!
also is it better to use path links for my local links links! to pictures and other pages on my sites (<a href="/contact.html"> or /home/picture.jpg etc? instead of <a href="http://mydomain/index">

    please let me know
    Thanks

In theory, using the nofollow tag would spread higher PR to the pages/links that did not include the nofollow tag.

Linking out doesn't "drain" your page of PR, just using the nofollow doesn't pass PR to other pages.

While it may seem like a good idea to use nofollow on all external links, it's possible this could be a red flag and tell Google "here's a web master over-doing SEO".

There are times where nofollow is suggested, like when pointing to affiliate links.

Another use may be to funnel PR on your own site...For example, if you have a "tos" page on your site, you may only want one "follow" link to it from a site map, but use the nofollow tag on all other links to your TOS page, instead passing the PR to other pages you probably want higher in the SERPs.
