I have been thinking about starting a site, but there are a few things I'm unsure about. The site is basically going to feature how to guides for certain new phones coming out. 1. When it comes to how to guides for things like phones, there is only 1 way 99% of the time to do something. Which means all guides generally have the same steps, just worded different. Can I get in trouble for using a guide that has same steps as some one else? How else would you do it then? 2. Is it illegal to post phone screen shots showing the GI, other peoples apps, programs, etc... Do I have to ask permission of the creator of a program before I go taking screen shots of their program? I plan on putting ads on my site too, if that makes a difference.
I'm no lawyer... but to be quite honestly look at youtube and all information posted there without consent of people. As long as you have a decent helpful site, that isn't scammy.... and HELPS people. I don't see why on earth any of them would want to take legal action against you. Not to mention if they did, worst situation is they ask u to take the information down.
