    Hi

1 - Tell me ….. if I was to put a lot of links to other websites on in my site without them
linking back to me - would that help me or not ? (In other words. I would go let's
say on to the Internet and get sites that have something in common with my site).

2 - I was thinking about using Google adwords to help in promoting my site. Any
opinions or suggestions as far as implementing it is concerned ?

3 - Do you have any suggestions to give me on the best places to advertise and some of
the more profitable places to advertise in ?

4 - I do know that both links, and content are very important in promoting a site, what
else is important and is there anything else that I can do to help get my site in the
first 10 searches of search engines like Google and Yahoo.

5 - As far as submitting my site to search engines – directories and any other worth while
places - how frequently should I submit them ?

    Thank you Craig

    1. That would not be good for your SERP
    2. Do it but please do some research. You dont want to waste your money for nothing. There are good ebooks out there about adwords you can read.
    3. Adwords, advertise on popular sites related to your niche.
    4. If your keyword that your targeting are already saturated good luck getting on first page :p its better for you to target long tail keyword. Google for more info.
    5. 1 time only. It might hurt your rankings if you submit too often.

1 - Linking someone does nothing to your site, but give that person a higher back link count
2 - Google AdWords is very good if you know how to use it correctly, I would read a eBook on it first
3 - AdWords, related forums, link exchanges etc
4 - Exactly what nuruddeen710 said, don't go for a saturated niche, be unique and target keywords that aren't overly saturated.
5 - Search engines, submit it once, and to directories submit it once, but there are over 1 million directories to submit to anyways
