Well I have a few domain names I no longer want and so I've unlocked them and requested the transfer codes for them.

This is a first come, first gets it kind of thing.

Fairly simple.... Go to your domain name register and select transfer domain name. Enter the domain name and if asked for the authorization code from the original register (NameCheap), enter the code.

IF on the off chance someone gets it before you... Your register will either refund you or most likely issue you a credit.

As of yet.... I've not been notified of anyone picking it up.

    User, Jedi Domain

Now has them all. Totally did not know NameCheap had a push option.

Why did I not want them?

A year or two ago, someone spammed my site (competitor) with their domain name all over the place. And later we were hacked and the hacker forwarded everyone to that same domain name.

In spite .... I noticed they didn't register all their alternative domain names ...ie ... .net .org .info ...ect... So I registered them all and forward them to myself.

Well that was fun for X amount of time and did make me feel a little good.... I no longer see the value in renewing them and I wasn't so willing to just let them expire either.

I'm sure they'll be of value to someone else for whatever reason.
