Hi Friends, Just wanted to know if Joomla is server side or can we create websites offline? Sorry, But i m a beginner. Is there any other programs through which i can create websites offline like joomla?
Of course you can create websites offline with Joomla. All you need is XAMPP (Available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS and Solaris) You can't create Joomla, you can create sites with Joomla

Ovais has suggested the correct piece of software which is XAMPP. It's available for free and acts like a local host for your computer instead of having to go out and pay for hosting while you develop your website. Joomla is a great content management system and I've used it for just over a year now. There are others out there, although I haven't used them before. Some off the top of my head are Wordpress and Drupal. I'd highly recommend installing Joomla into your XAMPP local host though as I knew nothing about web development until I started using it. I'm still no professional but I'm a lot better off than what I was before I used it. Good luck
