I recently (last week) got a domain name through a service exchange (got pushed from from another account in godaddy). i want to know whether i can push it or resell it to another person immediately. Actually the domain is registered at Godaddy and i want to resell it immediately through the option of pushing the domain to another member in godaddy? Is it possible immediately or I have to wait for a particular period before i can resell it? I am rather confused in this issue?
i havent touched godaddy in years, last i used them after ANY change was made on a domain there it was locked for 60 days. they may or may have changed that policy.
I have the feeling it's locked for 60days after the transfer aswell. However, I think you can unlock the domain ready for immediate transfer in the control panel somehow... I'll take a look and get back to you on that one. EDIT: Okay, you need to go into your GoDaddy account, select domains on the left, click on the domain name you want to unlock, next to where it says 'Locked' click 'Change' and when the box appears uncheck the box next to 'Locked'! SORTED!
You can transfer the domain to another persons GoDaddy account immediately, there is no time limit on that. The 60 day limit refers to transferring the domain to a different registrar.
