I've been running my directory www.netzoning.com for three years now (since January 2004). The directory has been earning me enough money for all those years to count as a part-time job. In the beginning of this year, specifically (May 2007) I found the site www.kiva.org very interesting and I've always wanted to do something that has a positive impact on this world, and decided to start making donations to kiva.org for every paid submission to www.netzoning.com. In May I setup a message on my website letting visitors know that 10% of all profits earned from submissions would go to helping businesses listed at kiva.org. I know many people might think it's just a marketing gimic to get more sales and will question it, but I truly do want to make some sort of positive impact to this world and to those that are less fortunate than some of us. You can see my profile at Kiva here: http://www.kiva.org/lender/pixelstreamed6091 There are probably many other type of charity sites of this type online and think it would be a good idea for other to also support some sort of charity if you make loads of money from your directory! It sure makes me feel better knowing I'm helping out in some way or another!
