I don't see how you are complaining when you can't even be decent enough to pay the guy half a cent for a word. THAT is abuse, and you really deserve to get those kind of articles if you couldn't take the time and effort to actually check up on him.

This is how it works: $$ + Time and Effort = Success. You have to put in an equal amount of both, or more of one or the other to get shit done right. Some people don't have money but they work 80 hours a week and succeed others have money but no time, so they pay someone to do the work for them so they can succeed. You said your self you don't have the time but a complete cheapskate and that is why you did not get what you wanted.

Sorry to break it to you, but maybe this time it will teach you that somebody's service is worth actual money and not something you can find in your couch.

    Regards,
    Nick

Well dang... maybe it's best to just write your own stuff altogether? Takes a bit longer but... mostly I don't have much to do anyway lol.

That's what happens when you pay 0.50$ per 100 words.
Shit goes around, goes around, and it comes back around. ;)

    I agree with Nick 100%

I myself am a writer, and if you were to offer me that pay I would feel disrespected.
I'm not the best writer in the world, but I have been published twice in the local news (which to some is nothing....but I find it to be an accomplishment)
and I charge what I feel I'm worth.

If you want QUALITY, your going to pay a PREMIUM price. You don't go to a Ferrari dealership, and offer to pay only $20k...The GM probably makes that in a week.

Well first on the agenda is the fact that the person cannot speak proper English. If in chat they speak like that, it should have raised red flags already. Second you can get people that will write an article for $4 or less and have it really well written. It goes back to the above principle. If people reply to you through Private Messaging and don't even have the decency to capitalize their (i) or can't even spell out a word like (want) when they clearly use (wnt) then you have to start worrying. Of course they won't care then. How can you expect them to care.

It does help to look at people that leave feedback as well and to visit other threads where the person has posted his own discussions. From that you can gather the type of person and if they are capable of writing the article you need. Common sense. Plus this sentence made me laugh...what the heck does it mean by it...that isn't English in any form and not even intelligent form of conversation: dicunchikky: plz yaar idnt wnt bck yaar.........

In the end you should have known. This could have easily been avoided.

As others said: You get what you paid for!

A 500 word article takes me at least 1 hour. Consider the electricity, computer life, Internet Connection, my energy (food) and that would cost me more than $3. Now what about my wage? A blue collar worker get $2.5 an hour, but I'm an educated geek and probably have better English than 95% of my peers in my 3rd World country, so I should get at least $7.

That said, $10/500 words are the minimal for a "respectable" and "consciousness" article. $15 will get you better geeks. $20 better quality and $100 you get top-notch.

Still LOL at the conversation! It's funny and at the same time pathetic. I guess you've learnt a thing or two now though. You'll be better prepared next time-- follow the tips given above.

I'm with Yo - this is obviously not the place for this sort of thing. It's inappropriate, unprofessional and might actually get you banned - can't remember if that's in the TOS on DP or just on one of my other favorite forums where they wouldn't let either of you escape this nonsense unscathed.

    Haha!

I must admit I found it rather funny that you expected any kind of quality work for $0.5 pr 100 words.

    Newsflash: Slavery was abolished already.

Wow! Seriously? You hired a new guy with only 2 posts and not even 2 weeks registered here?
With that amount of money, most writers I know would not do the job. Maybe he just write in Indian and use google translate.
Either way you should have check the articles no matter ho busy you are. Like when you withdrawing money from the bank, you will have to check your money at the counter before leaving so if there is short you can still ask the teller.

Been there and done that. As a freelance writer, I have had a lot of clients who chose to go with foreign writers at a lower price, only to return asking me to fix things like this. When that happens, I agree to fix it and charge them double on what I would have charged them in the first place for a penalty. I've never had a client complain about the penalty yet because, once they get a taste for what a non-English speaking writer can do to an article, they realize how much of a value my services really are.

haha, this is one of the funniest articles in the Internet! Do you want to forward to the local news channel as an example of poor English? This is obviously the work of article spinner. I think the original writer will be offended.

I used to dislike them but now I thank goodness for cheap writers. They keep the slave masters busy complaining about the crummy work that they "pay" for.

To Poster. I do not know your age, but hope it is over 16. Your lack of professionalism is at or below that of your writers. Your name poster seems to suggest your are an SEO expert. This sure sounds like a false proclamation. You call yourself something, as does your writing source.

To me, it seems one of lacking of quality and improper language as an expert, has encountered another expert, what a perfect match! I will not shed a tear tonight. When you clean up your personal act, then ask for true assistance.

Into the fire you cast the person your hired, yet you earned every burn your received. I would change your SEO moniker as meaning Stupid to Energetic Outsources. Not mean, but speaking on behalf of true experts, and those sincerely trying to become one.

Lol Perry, whats with you and spamming threads about prices of articles? I'd do 50 cents for 100 words.
