A Couple Testers Wanted...

Discussion in 'Keyword Tracker' started by digitalpoint, Mar 22, 2005.

Finished up added Yahoo and MSN support to the keyword tracker, so looking for a couple more people to bang on it to see if they can find any problems before I turn it loose for the public.

I'd love to test it. Do you want a thorough testing? (i.e. try to break it) or just normal usage?

Sent you a PM with some things I noticed, would you rather have me post over here instead of sending PMs?

Shawn, I can't get the tool to show my rankings for the current keywords I am using. I then tried adding one of those keywords again, but checking the MSN and Yahoo boxes, and it did show the rankings. Does this mean that I need to enter all my keywords again so I can use the other engines?
I noticed the same thing on the backlink section. I am monitoring 22 sites right now, entering them again will be a real pain.

Isn't it possible to show the backlinks from MSN?

Google says I have 1140 pages in URL, while Yahoo says I have 7, is this normal?...

Yes, you would need to enter them... It does not carry over your existing Google ranking monitoring to MSN or Yahoo. You could used the "Advanced" option to add keywords in mass if you want.

And no, it's not possible to get back link data from MSN right now.

Yup, just figured out the mass option, adding the new words now to test.

Whatabout the drastic difference between the pages in url from Google and Yahoo? Is that normal?

Totally depends on the site I suppose... it's just the number of pages in the domain that the search engine has in it's index, so yeah.. I would imagine it would vary wildly between search engines.
