A couple of sites.

I acquired a couple of sites a while back that I'm looking to get rid of as I don't have time to do anything.

They're not particularly good sites and one of them lost it's forum posts!

Anyway, the sites are

I'm not sure what these are gonna be worth to anyone but they have PageRanks and I heard someone saying somethink about selling links on PageRank sites.

how much you want for playrounders?

 

hey... I've not set an asking price really as i have NO idea whatsoever on what these are worth... I've never sold a site before. I guess I'll just see what people offer then decide. I'm not too fussed.

 

I think you either need to post a "Buy it now" price or put them in an auction, if you dont have a rough asking price people won't bid, they need to know how much it would take to secure it or if they offer a bid does it go to the highest bidder and when.

I can only apologise so many times for this. This is the first site I have ever sold. I've been on the forum 3 days, I'm sorry I don't know the rules and I'm sorry you didn't get the deal you were hoping for.

I posted that I was willing to do an exchange deal, I was made an offer for an exchange but after a discussion we mutually agreed on a cash deal. I'm sorry if this is the wrong procedure but the buyer did not want to publically disclose the site offered and the cash offer that was on the table at that point seemed reasonable for the site.

Geir - The offer made was signifcantly offer than your original one.

DCT - The offer was significantly more than the price you told me to expect.

There was only a handful of enquiries regarding the sites, the two of you made no further offers, there were no higher offers in the thread and I was offered a good deal. I'm sorry if I've annoyed anyone. I genuinely am, but I am very new to this. I don't know the protocol, I stated I didn't know what the sites were worth so when I got what I thought was a good price I took it. That's all.

With that said. forum-for-football.com is still running as an auction.

I have received a private bid for this site for $100 so I guess the best I can do is let everyone know on here that $100 is the current bid.

I'm not sure if that's the correct procedure but so be it

Yeah that is the correct procedure, now other people know the high bid and can bid again if they want before the announced closed time.

Treat this thread as a learning experience and you'll make more out of this "auction" in knowledge than money.
