Anyone know of a contact email or contact page to see why I'm banned in Yahoo? I recently purchased a large site 500+k uniques a month but it's severely penalized in Yahoo and I'm trying to find out why. I'm probably losing 100 or 200k uniques a month by being banned in Yahoo and I'm eager to find out what they want me to do to fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't think yahoo is going to tell you why your site is penalized, but their site explorer board can be helpful as their search people answer questions directly - especially if it is an indexing problem. http://suggestions.yahoo.com/?prop=SiteExplorer&sort=date There is also a contact form, but in my experience, it's pretty worthless for getting any exact details for a specific site. They say to review their guidelines, bla bla, etc.
They will just send you out a generic message, it won't give you any information that is actually pertinent to your site.
It takes them more than a day to respond - might take a week. If you post a question on the boards, you will generally get a specific response from someone in the search department. I think the people who handle the contact message aren't actually in the search department - just people who usually give generic answers.
With in 3-4 working days, you will definitely get a message from yahoo support staff. In fact I received on the third day.
You must submit the fixed site using the proper Yahoo Re-Review form. The form is easy to fill out, but the reply you get is the problem. or you may check this link http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2006/07/help-i-have-been-banned-or-penalized-in-yahoo.html
I see they replied to you here: http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=SiteExplorer&fid=106208 I think Yahoo! Site Explorer Suggestion Board is awesome !
