I've always wanted to set up a site for abandoned and haunted places.. so I was looking for a great domain.. but most are already taken. So I came up with a clever little domain hack after seeing blo.gs I registered: abandoned.in and haunted.in Heres the catch.... These worked out perfectly because I'm using them as search terms as well... For example, abandoned places in ohio: abandoned.in/ohio or abandoned.in/ohio/athens/TheRidges Obviously the same idea applies to Haunted.in as well.
Nice domain idea. I don't know what it is, but I find abandoned/forgotten buildings fascinating. I guess you've seen www.forgotten-ny.com? Totally messy site, but some great content.
actually it will help you in the google search also. google gives importance to the domain, so it will boost your search term in the rankings. nice idea, actually i have heared about it before. someone took a domain like, grou.ps and so on, it is a nice idea
I'd also be brainstorming, infact I'm fighting the urge - but I've banned myself form buying anymore domains.
