I'm going to share with you something I used to do to make money. It's been shared on other forums recently as well. What I did was bought a domain related to dating. Some examples - findadate.com, meetsingles.com, etc. The absolute easiest way to find a domain for this is go to http://www.godaddy.com. Then do a search of a domain, just type something generic in here like single, date, etc. Then click on go, the next page will come up and tell you that the domain you selected is not available. Oh darn right? NO! Scroll down to where it says More options and where it says Additional Domains, click on See other domains like this. You will be given a huge list of domains that has the original word you put in, it's a good way to see what's available. I use this whenever I'm searching for any domain. I never register with godaddy though Now.. simple so far.. now that you have your domain. Your going to have to find a dating offer, make sure this offer is valid for your area. If you live in Canada, you want an offer that accepts traffic for Canada. If your in the US you want one that accepts US traffic. Makes sense? GOOD. Now, open up word. Make up a flyer. Actually make up a bunch of different flyers. "Meet other singles at www.meetsingles.com", "Find your sole mate at www.meetupnow.com". Now print up a ton of them. Now go out and distribute them. Put them on bulletin boards, post them on bus stops, post them on street signs, on traffic lights. It's essentially almost free traffic. Since I'm just an honest guy, I printed off all my copies at my work, so I didn't pay for paper, ink, etc So now back to the domain, you can either do a redirect to your offer, landing page, or whatever you want, or split test it all, it's up to you. And yes, you can make money with this, the biggest headache is people rip these down so you need to be always putting them back up. But if your just getting started it's easy money. Any questions?

This works for a lot of things... Using different modes of offline ads to drive traffic to your site. I have done it on Insurance back in the days we use to chase High paying Keywords.. I drove traffic to my sites by pasting flyers on public transports [It was LONG time back] They key is EASY-TO-REMEMBER-DOMAIN-NAME without HYPHENS. Keyword like date is not important. Then I got scared because Google has a lot of algorithm to check clicks and I reckoned where I was doing the offline, the clicks won't be converting... I am doing it on some sites now but not MFA.. And where I live it is so cheap to get this done.... Its crazy... But then so many people are doing this here, we jostle for space lolZZZZ
I see these fliers all over my city. I can see how this would be relevant to iphone/blackberry users because I forget about the flier by the time I get home.
I'm must be one of the people who need extra instruction. A little confused on the purpose of domains. If your buying domains that you have no plan on using, except for redirection is that really a great money maker, seems like more overhead to me.
Basically bum marketing. Works better if you have a regional service, but nothing wrong with it. Anything that brings targeted traffic is worth a try. As far as the registration suggestions...that is pretty common knowledge as all registrars have this.
Be very careful where you distribute those flyers because some cities have ordinances that prohibit such and it could land you a huge fine.
Uhhhh, all you said was to buy a domain, and then put up flyers. But there are a lot of dumbasses here, so they will think that is great advice.
I think targeted advertisement with flyer is good but limited to small area. but can improve click rate.
i think date site is so saturated. like to believe is good with offline promotion but sure can make money?
