    hi,

This is my first post on digital point. Need some help with adwords campaign management.

I am planning to expand existing adwords campaign by adding more ad groups and keywords.
I have one campaign with overall CTR of 1.19% and 6 ad groups.
In each ad group, some keywords have CTR as high as 17% but some have 0%.

At this point should I make changes to this existing campaign(i.e.delete keywords with low CTR and add new keywords)
or kill it and start a new one and get the things right in the first place?

I have read a post in this forum which recommends starting over with new adwords account.
If I do that I will lose the track record of good CTR for many keywords(those that are doing more than 5%).

What is the best way to approach this problem?

    Thanks for the help!

    Sonia.

hi sonia...do you have google analytics yet? if not, get it. it's free and will give you the information you need to decide what to do. just do a search queery for 'google analytics' in the adwords help section to find it.

before you delete any keywords, i would see if they perform better as an exact or phrase match. if you need info on what that means, once again, look it up in the adwords help section.

there's so much more to managing your campaigns, but i hope this helps.

    hi SandOtter,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do use Google Analytics to figure out which keywords are performing better.
But I was not able to decide whether to modify and expand existing campaign or start a new one from scratch.
After searching more on the web, I have come to a conclusion that starting a fresh new campaign is the way to go!

    Thanks for the help.

    Sonia.
