What makes a good site to submit a press release to? I have heard some sites allow links in the body, while others do not. Also, out of this list what is the best and what should be thrown out? I am sure most of us are only interested in dealing with the free sites. They're not all free. As a matter of fact, sites like BusinessWire and MarketWire are rather expensive. Signing up as a "member" is free, but that doesn't include distribution itself, which can run hundreds and even thousands per release depending on where you want it distributed.
I can offer a free service or two for anyone who wants to take the time to refine the list down to a good 50. Sites like BusinessWire and MarketWire would probably be no good then for the freebie, manual submissions. Thanks for pointing those out.
