A Brainstorm - 10 Million

    I believe that the best answers come from asking good questions.

    So, here's a brainstorm and I hope lots of people will participate.

    If you had 10 days and needed to get 10 million visitors to a website (like HAD to do it, and they could be completely unqualified for whatever you were promoting), how would you do it?

    Again, this is a brainstorm, and I hope it leads to some good ideas (and results?) for everyone.

    Place a 301 redirect on Google.com's homepage to yours, you'll get more than 10 million in one day itself. Don't need to pay HBO either, lol :D

    Everybody give very funny answers.
    hack google, pay HBO and show time, etc..

    if you have high budget on it, pay traffic builder services..

    To be honest, there is no A, B, C solution unless you have a marketing budget that is enormous. Most people visiting these forums don't. I would say a mixture of direct advertising and PPC would be your best bet though. :)

    Pay college kids. They need money, they have lots of friends who have lots of friends. They don't follow up so you will end up not having to pay them

    Unqualified? Advertise in PTC then. They bring you EXTREMELY CHEAP hits but they are totally unqualified.

    Create a visitors counter....number start from 10,000,000..you are done:D

    10Million...actually talk talk easy....do is hard...an example is make a news(real if possible)...something as strong impact as MJ say 88 to us...post to some forum...spread the news...people will refer back to the original source which is your site and they will help you spread the news to any where they can and more visitors come in...your visitors numbers will more than what your server can handle:D

    TV Advertising would be a solid method. But it'd cost you a fortune for those levels of traffic.

    Unless you made such a weird and wonderful site, viral traffic alone wouldn't bring 10million hits.

    So everyone's in agreement that the only real way to bring 10 milllion visitors to a web site in 10 days is with a massive budget and a TV campaign?

    I was hoping we'd be able to generate more thoughts here... Still hoping. Anyone else?
