Hello guys and gals, I'm Tara from Vancouver Island, Canada (Victoria, BC, to be exact). I'm female, married (going on 19 years now...wow!) and a mother of two wonderful teenage daughters. I spend most of my time either cleaning house (renovating right now, too, so LOTS of work and time involved), spending time with the family doing 'family-stuff' and, when I have the time, poking around on the net just doing.....whatever I'm in the mood for at any given time. I love to read, write, do art, watch a good flick when I can (horror flicks being my all time favorite) and, like most everyone else, I love music. For the most part I dive into hard rock and heavy metal (especially from the 80's) but, ironically enough, I also have a major passion for none other than (here we go....) The Bay City Rollers, lol.

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell. However, if there is anything else you need or want to know don't be afraid to ask, I'll be more than happy to answer.

Well, off I go for now to snoop around here some more. Rather excited to do so, actually, as this place looks FANTASTIC!!! Wow, talk about well put together with loads and loads of useful information. Great job on a great forum. Keep up the excellent work!

    Cheers,
    Tara :)

Wow, now that's what I call a very warm welcome; thank you everybody. I have to say I love it here already (so much so I'm actually having a hard time leaving, lol). I have been going through the different topics and posts here over the past few hours and, my goodness, everything is just so incredible! I mean, honestly, the people, the information..."everything," is fantastic. Needless to say, it is not hard to tell that someone has taken much time and effort into putting this place all together and any and all success that results from such hard work is well deserved.

Surfaddict, yes, you are correct about the games being in Vancouver. However, as awesome as the games will be, the only event I will be involved in is as a viewer who will be watching them on my television set when the time comes, lol.

PAUL2, thank you for your kind reply and, just so you know, I used to be a fan of the Village People, too (blush, blush). I've rather outgrown them now (although I'll be the first to admit that Macho Man and YMCA will still get "stuck" in my head for a good long while if I hear them on the radio, ha ha), but, as for the Bay City Rollers, I doubt I'll ever outgrow them (which you can probably tell by my username). Funny how some people can be so-called 'metalheads' yet still have a passion for something (like BCR) that fits totally at the other end of the spectrum musically. Can't get much odder than that, lol.

Again, thank you everyone for such an amazing welcome, it is sincerely appreciated and I feel right at home already.

    All the best.
    Tara :)

Wow, even more wonderful welcomes, how nice. I have to say that the atmosphere here is a great one and, with so many pleasant and helpful members to connect with, I cannot do anything other than sincerely enjoy my time here. I can't begin to tell you how many hours a day I've spent (since I registered here a couple of days ago) checking out all the 'nooks and crannies' within the forums and, with each one that I find, I am more and more impressed with what I see. The topics are useful, the information within them helpful and, above all, the members here are not only knowledgeable but fun, friendly and quick to help out as well. Needless to say, it is a refreshing change from the many other forums out there that lack the know-how, and/or don't bother to put in the effort, to do the same. This place really is a joy to visit.

Thanx again, everyone, for the wonderful welcomes.

LOL, I hear you there, rockman6104, "Money Honey" is definitely one of my favorites, too. "smile like a fox just to see what you can get...." :)
