A big black hole in keywords tracking

    Hi guys,
Some of our customers take a required action (goal) on their second or third visit.
First they find our site by searching for "green widgets" for example (first click)

After some time they come back to the site by typing our domain or brand name in the search engine search box, and so GA credits for the keywords "our-domain.com" and "our brand" with a conversion and we have no idea what are the original keywords these visitors came from.

How can we track the performance of "first click" keywords?

    Thanks.

the "last click wins" model is a problem with most analytics packages.

Brian Cliftons - advanced web metrics book has a section that demonstrates how to configure GA to capture the first and last click
