    Hi everyone,

I got a basic question (Just starting in the SEO world).

Does taking a hosting from a different company of your domain company will affect the SEO of your website.

Ex; A domain on godaddy.com and a hosting from zymic(Free hosting) or hostgator will affect the SEO ?

Also does doing a redirect will affect my SEO results ?

Ex; My domain is redirected to my website on zymic ? Does it will affect the SEO results ? (People that will type in my adress on zymic, will stay on the same page and people who type my domain like blalblab.com will be redirected immediatly to my website on zymic)

    Thank you

hostgator is a good host with lots of plans to grow into (vps, dedicated, etc..). Your host will not effect seo.

I recommend using a 301 .htaccess redirect. Even with the correct redirect you will lose some link juice. If a redirect can be avoided, it should be for seo.

Having one company for your domain registrations and another for your web hosting has zero affect on the SEO of your website.

Hi, go for paid hosting and domain! Also the only way in this case you can be affected in a bad way is that if other web sites from the same shared hosting with the same class IP will link to you, they won't help so much. This scenario is less encountered so don't worry about it and sleep well over night.
