a backlink isn't a backlink?

hi all,

some sites are linking to my site by putting my site logo, but only one site is considered as backlink by google, WHY? (using link: mydomain.com)

i found the code considered as backlink is different with others without considered as backlink.

i thought the second one should be better, but why none of them considered as backlink.. then the simpler one become a backlink

Maybe its because the Search Engines haven't crawled the other page with your link on yet so they haven't found the backlink.

 

OMG, almost 2 years?!

 

An image Link is not really a backlink. Since it has no keywords on it plus search engines do not read images, they just read the alt tags and this is USED for describing the image and not the link.

then what should i do for the image, and make them as a icon like the first code does...

just an update, i got some links from other websites are considered as backlink by yahoo
but google ignore it for years =(

 

Many sites use images for navigation - presumably these provide internal links?

 

You should add a new line with a small text inside the anchor to have an anchor text and a backlink buddy
